Minority leader, House of Representatives and member representing Isoko
federal constituency, Rt Hon Leo Ogor, weekend, sent a congratulatory
message to Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state on occasion of democracy
day celebration and one year in office.
Ogor while appraising the achievements of Gov. Okowa in his one year in office described the former Senator cum Governor as one of the best democracy gifts to Deltans as Governor of the state with foresight whose taste and hunger for even development of the state especially in the area of jobs creation and sustainable developmental initiatives knew no bound.
“I want to specially celebrate my friend, Governor and party man, Gov. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, and also the good people of Delta state on this occasion of the democracy day celebration and also his one year in office as Governor of Delta state,” He stated.
“The Governor’s positive impact on the lives of Deltans within the one year in office is commendable and well acknowledged especially in area of jobs creation, infrastructural development like good network of road and revitalisation of technical education within this short period of time.
"The Governor might have not done enough but have started on a good note and I am very confidence that before the end of his tenure, the Governor will surpasses the expectations of all Deltans. He has started on a very good note and there are every indices that he will never disappoint Deltans and the mandate reposed in him.
"I hereby call on all well-meaning Nigerians and the good people of the state to celebrate the achievements recorded so far as an evidence of more good things to come especially in his SMART agenda initiative . The Governor meant well for the state and her people.
“I, there on behalf of the good people of Isoko federal constituency rejoice with the Governor and the good people of the state on this occasion of democracy day celebration and one year in office.”
Rt Hon Leo Ogor also called on Deltans to be more patient while supporting the governor with prayers in order to ensure the realization of his dream in taking the state to a greater height.
